Not much to report over at Royal Randwick as our sole bet on #4 Lady Demi comes in significantly from the early $9.00 to be tapped out by a monster run from the ridiculous $26.00/$32.00 around #2 Assault’n’Bathory.

Although the fight was solid coming in 2nd at a margin of 1.30L, that habit of hers to leave the jet too late once again cropped up as Brock took her from 13th at the 400m mark to turn on her SpaceX rocket boosters — but probably should have done it earlier as #2 Assault’n’Bathory held a comfortable lead through-out the entire race.

As expected from our preview, #12 Alternative Facts was nowhere to be seen, sitting behind #4 Lady Demi for most of the race with an unsuccessful late launch finishing a very average 2.90L behind in 5th.

We had highlighted both #9 Magnarock and #13 Tale of the Kraut as dangers and although the early pace from #9 Magnarock was impressive, the traffic and late jumps from the rest of the field left the gelding in the dust.

#13 Tale of the Kraut was a lot more effective, locking in 3rd just 0.20L behind #4 Lady Demi at a very strong SP of $15.00 and once which we’ll definitely be taking action on in the future given the correct conditions.

As we mentioned in our preview, R3 was chockablock full of incredibly average runners, and this can be seen in the results with 2nd favourite a ridiculous 5.50L behind in 3rd and the rest of the field jumping around like nuts. #1 Luvaluva comfortably took down R4 at a short $2.10 presenting zero value for us there but being yet another pat on the back for the early analysis being uncanny with the ability to pick where to focus efforts.
